Welcome Amanda Flowers to Michelle Fitzgerald Psychotherapy and Counselling
2022 has been an exciting year for Michelle Fitzgerald Psychotherapy and Counselling, with our Windsor clinic expanding and welcoming a new practitioner – Amanda Flowers.
Amanda is a qualified Social Worker and Counsellor, who seeks opportunities to learn, grow, and evolve. In 2006 she completed her Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Sydney, and is now currently further building on her knowledge, experience and skills by undertaking a Master in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Amanda has over ten years of career experience in the tertiary education sector working directly with clients in welfare, advocacy and counselling roles.
She has a strong passion for supporting people in identifying and addressing problems or issues impacting their mental health, everyday functioning and wellbeing. Amanda’s mission is to enhance people’s well-being at personal, community and systemic levels, relevant to a person’s experiences, needs and goals.
Amanda will be available in the clinic from the 2nd November 2022, she has early mornings and afternoon/ evenings available Wednesday and Friday, and is available Saturdays.

So who is Amanada Flowers?
Amanda grew up in the suburbs of Greater Western Sydney and spent much time in the Hawkesbury.
She is now a Hawkesbury local, living and working across Western Sydney and the Hawkesbury districts.
Amanda is married and has close connection to her husband’s Aboriginal culture, family and community.Her great loves are family and friends, animals – big and small, and adventuring to the bush or ocean with the camper trailer in tow.
Amanda has always been passionate about helping people. She embodies the values of compassion, care and connection.

With a background in social work, Amanada is a qualified practitioner that is skilled in supporting individuals experiencing stress, life crises or complex situations that may impact their well-being, mental health, relationships, career, education, and participation in everyday life.
She is skilled in helping individuals develop coping skills to adjust to their environments and empowers individuals to develop and use the skills and resources needed to improve or resolve problems or achieve a goal.
Counselling is unique to every individual and is influenced by your life’s journey and experiences.
Coming from years of experience and a wealth of knowledge, Amanda creates a safe space to help individuals reflect on, express and process their thoughts and feelings. Her perspective on compassion, acting with care and being free of judgment as crucial skills to building a therapeutic relationship.
