Psychotherapy

The journey through psychotherapy is unique to every individual and is influenced by your life’s journey and position. Psychotherapy modalities can help to alleviate emotional dysregulation and mental health challenges than can be experienced after trauma or major life events. It’s a modality that embodies talking work, awareness of the self, help you to understand why you feel and behave the way you do and work towards a preferred way of being in the world.

Counselling & Social Work

Counselling is unique to every individual and is influenced by your life’s journey and experiences. Engaging in counselling with a social worker will involve you being supported by a person-centred approach to counselling through a social work lens. Social work is an approach that embodies strengths based and solution focused modalities, trauma informed practice, consultation and collaboration and respect for persons and their autonomy.

One of Our Favourite Quotes of all Time is…

“when you change the way you look at things,

the things you look at change”

                                                        (Dr Wayne Dyer).

This quote says alot about the power of Psychotherapy and the impact it has on shifting the position of how  an individual processes the input of the world, how they resolve or mitigate behaviours that cause angst and disharmony or emotional distress. Psychotherapy can also help with ingrained belief systems, addictions, thoughts, emotions and relationship issues. We work with the client to shift the way they process and view the world through different lenses and move forward in a preferred direction.

Our Approach & Philosophy

Our therapists are highly educated and collectively encompass decades of experience in the health space. Our approach is embedded in providing a non-judgmental and shame free space for our clients to feel emotionally safe to discuss the challenges they experience. Servicing our community we see many varied presentations from addiction to relationship challenges, separation, divorce, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, body image and much more. We have worked with individuals who experience isolation and homelessness in the area, currently engage with a local cancer charity helping those men and women impacted by the diagnosis of cancer, working with parents of additional needs children, assisting those bereaved by suicide, mentoring university students through the challenges of their studies to name just a few.

“Doing what you love is never a waste of time. ❤️✨In our fast-paced lives, it’s easy to feel guilty for taking time to indulge in our passions. However, engaging in activities that bring us joy and fulfillment is not just a luxury; it’s essential for our well-being. 🌼🌈When you dedicate time to what you love—be it art, music, gardening, or simply enjoying a good book—you’re nurturing your soul. These moments are not just ‘time spent’; they are an investment in your happiness and mental health. 🌿🌀Pursuing your passions sparks creativity, reduces stress, and fosters a sense of purpose. It connects you with your true self and reminds you of what makes life vibrant and meaningful. So, whether it’s taking a dance class, painting on the weekends, or exploring new hobbies, prioritize those moments. They rejuvenate your spirit and inspire those around you. 🌟💖Remember, life is too short to wait for the ‘right time’ to do what you love. Make time for your passions and let them enrich your life. After all, the joy you cultivate in these moments can ripple out to every aspect of your existence. 🌌✨So go ahead—embrace your passions and let them shine! Your heart deserves it. 💖#DoWhatYouLove #PassionIsPurpose #InvestInYourself #JoyfulLiving #TherapyWisdom #MindfulLiving #SelfCare #WellbeingJourney” ... See MoreSee Less

“This is your daily reminder… be kind to yourself. 💖✨In our busy lives, it’s so easy to overlook the importance of self-compassion. We often prioritize the needs of others while neglecting our own, but self-kindness is essential for our well-being. Remember, you are not alone in this journey, and it’s okay to take time for yourself. 🌼🌿Kindness begins within. Just as we offer support and encouragement to our friends and loved ones, we must extend that same grace to ourselves. Challenge the inner critic that says you’re not enough, and replace it with a voice that recognizes your efforts and achievements. 🌈🌀Take a moment today to check in with yourself. Ask, “What do I need right now?” Whether it’s a break, a chat with a friend, or simply a few moments of quiet, honoring your needs is a powerful act of self-love. You deserve the same kindness you give to others. 🌌💫Remember, it’s not about perfection; it’s about progress. Celebrate your journey, acknowledge your feelings, and embrace the beautiful, imperfect person you are. Your well-being matters, so treat yourself with care and compassion every day. 🌟#BeKindToYourself #SelfCompassion #DailyReminders #MentalHealthAwareness #WellnessJourney #TherapyWisdom #MindfulLiving #SelfLove” ... “Just living my best life… loading. ⏳✨Life is a journey filled with ups, downs, and everything in between. It’s easy to get caught up in the rush to achieve our goals or to compare our progress with others. But the truth is, we’re all on our unique paths, and that’s what makes life so beautiful. 🌈🌱Every moment is an opportunity for growth, learning, and self-discovery. While we may not be where we want to be just yet, it’s important to celebrate the steps we take along the way. Each day is a chance to evolve, adapt, and get closer to our dreams. 🌿🚀So, whether you’re taking baby steps or giant leaps, remember that it’s okay to be a work in progress. Allow yourself the grace to enjoy the journey. Your best life is unfolding, even if it feels like it’s still loading. Keep believing in yourself and embrace the magic of becoming. 🌌💖#BestLifeLoading #WorkInProgress #CelebrateTheJourney #EmbraceYourPath #LivingIntentionally #GrowthMindset #TherapyWisdom #MindfulLiving” ...
